Most Effective Therapy for Inflammation and Osteoarthritis
Degenerative joint disease, or DJD, is osteoarthritis (OA), a progressive disease in dogs that is characterized by chronic joint inflammation, as well as the deterioration of cartilage surrounding the joints. In addition to cartilage, surrounding tissues and synovial fluid also suffer deterioration. It’s not uncommon to see the growth of bone spurs around the joints in concurrence with the progression of OA, due to increasing friction between the bones. All of this can cause your canine a lot of pain, although it may not become apparent until the disease is fairly advanced (Central Texas Animal Hospital, 2018).
Astaria Global is researching and expanding on a line of AlphaActive™ Therapies™ for inflammation/degeneration of joints in canines.
