Bill Cramer (Chairman) has over 30 years of healthcare experience in medical device sales and is the visionary founder of the Device Benefit Management platform. Bill founded Access MediQuip in 1997 and led the company to a private equity investment in 2006. Before Bill’s departure from Access MediQuip, the company had exceeded $100 million in gross revenue and contracted with large health insurers such as WellPoint, Aetna, Cigna, and Humana. Bill also founded Beacon Device Services a subsidiary of Access MediQuip that serves as a patient hub for device manufacturers. Bill has built many long lasting relationships in the medical device sector, including relationships with physicians and facilities in many disciplines around the country. After Bill’s departure from Access, he founded Catalyst Sales and Marketing, L.L.C. in 2013. Catalyst was solely focused upon a new and expanding field of regenerative medicine. During the next 5 years, Bill and his team built an organization that offered providers superior regenerative products and services; including a patient support center. During this time, Bill noticed the extraordinary benefits that some of his therapies had with osteoarthritis, including joint degeneration. Bill has taken this knowledge and has consulted with many of the experts in the veterinary market to create Astaria Global, L.L.C. Astaria is strictly focused in the veterinary market with the best regenerative products and therapies.
Chief Executive Officer
Mike Duvall is a licensed CPA in Texas with an MBA degree, who has held various accounting positions (CFO, Controller and others) for over 30 years in industry such as: healthcare, energy, insurance and finance. He spent five years as a senior auditor with Deloitte performing financial audits for both private and public companies. Mike was the CFO for five years at Access Mediquip and worked with an outside brokerage firm to successfully market and sell the company to a private equity firm. Mike supports various charities and is a Board Member of a local non-profit organization in Houston that provides food, shelter, and clothing to families in short-term crises. He also is an inventor and holds four US Patents related to sports analytics.
Dr. Stuart Shoemaker
Chief Medical Advisor
Dr. Stuart Shoemaker is a board certified veterinary surgeon with 34 years of clinical experience. Dr Shoemaker has been a managing partner at Idaho Equine Hospital; an 8 doctor referral equine surgery center. He is the director of the Equine Surgery and Sports Medicine division at Idaho Equine Hospital. Dr. Shoemaker has been an active member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and served as a board member from 2006-2009. He is a member of The American College of Veterinary Surgeons and an adjunct professor at Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Shoemaker is a consultant for Boise State University and serves on the board for Research and Economic Development. He also provides counsel to the Animal Research Vivarium at Boise State University.
Dr. Shoemaker received his DVM from Colorado State University in 1984 and completed a surgical residency program at Louisiana State University in 1989. He became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1993.
Jeffrey James brings over 23 years of award-winning marketing communications, relationship management, and customer experience. He is an investor and strategic advisor focused on the Company’s branding, digital presence and technology.Mr. James’ areas of responsibility include channel management, platform development, and market opportunities to align the Astaria’s strategy, touchpoints and infrastructure required to deliver the optimum customer experiences and revenue results. Prior operational and consulting roles included senior operations, logistics and marketing positions with multinational companies across diverse industries including Atlantic Records, Sony, HP, CDW, Logitech, Texpo Energy, Grande Communications, Willis Group, GMAC and GE Capital.
Mr. James has significant experience in the staffing, energy, technology, telecommunications, broadcasting and healthcare industries. He has participated in numerous entrepreneurial ventures at different stages of development and funding. He also serves on the board of three companies and two non-profits.
